Privacy policy
Privacy policy for webwork.blog under the GDPR.

Who is responsible?
The entity responsible for this site and therefore for the collection of your data is the operator of this blog:
Tobias Dillig
Seltenbachstraße 2
76327 Pfinztal
Germany
Which data is collected when you use this blog?
This site is explicitly designed so that (almost) no data about you is needed to operate it. Only the usual server log files are written.
These contain:
- your IP address
- the page you access
- the time at which you accessed the page
- the origin page you were referred from
- which browser and which operating system you are using
We use this data on the one hand to analyse how many (distinct) visitors access our site at which times (and where they come from), and on the other hand, in the event of an attack, to trace where the accesses originated.
The legal basis for collecting the data is our legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR, to improve our website, as well as the fulfilment of a legal obligation under Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR, since we must be able to respond to and analyse attacks appropriately.
What happens with my data?
We use your data exclusively to learn about the usage of our website ourselves and, for example, to determine which of our articles are particularly interesting. We never share the data with any third parties. We do use Netcup GmbH as a data centre provider operating our servers on our behalf, but they have no access to your data.
How long is my data stored?
We store your data for a period of 12 months. Storage takes place exclusively on our servers in Germany.
How is my data protected?
We place great importance on keeping your data — even if it's just your IP address and browser — safe with us. To that end we apply various techniques including:
- use of a firewall on all servers
- use of encryption for data in transit (SSL / TLS)
- careful selection of our administrators
- continuous training of those responsible
- regular updates of the server operating systems
What rights do I have?
You of course have all rights granted to you under the GDPR. These include, among others:
- Right to erasure: on request we will delete all data we have collected about you at any time
- Right of access: you can ask us at any time which data we have stored about you
- Right to rectification: should the data we collected be incorrect, you can inform us at any time and we will correct the errors
- Right to portability: if you wish, we will gladly transfer the collected data to you
- Right to restrict processing: if you wish, we will exclude your data from processing (in which case we would simply delete it)
- Right to lodge a complaint: you may lodge a complaint about us with a supervisory authority — we would of course be glad if you reached out to us first!
All of these rights are available to you free of charge.
Who can I contact with questions?
If you still have questions, we're always happy to hear from you. You can reach us by email at info [at] webwork.blog.
